In mid September Martina Stasikova, the Legal Adviser for Licensing Department and Visual Arts Department, is leaving for her maternity leave. She will be replaced by Miroslava Majerová, who will manage the tasks connected with licensing agreements, deposits and legal matters of the Visual Arts Department. The Board of LITA, based on the recommendation of the Audiovisual Committee, decided about the winner of the Rudo Sloboda Award for the best achievement on the field of audiovisual creation for the year 2008. On 17 June 2009 the Vice-Chairman of the Board, Mr Martin Porubjak, presented the award to its winner. The award went to Juraj Lehotský for the documentary film Slepé lásky (Blind Loves). The bi-annual LITAs General Assembly took place on 28 May 2009. The General Assembly approved changes to the Statutes and to the Distributions Rules of LITA. The membership fee was adjusted to 10 per year, and 5 per year for a member aged 62 years and more. The General Assembly also decided about the changes in remunerating of members of LITAs bodies.
